The original documentation recommends watching the video first to make the steps easier to follow.

Create the Main Menu

  1. Go to Appearance → Menus.
  2. If you don’t have a menu yet:
    • Click create a new menu.
    • Name it (e.g., Main Menu).
    • Click Create Menu.
  3. Add items to the menu:
    • From the left panel (Pages, Posts, Custom Links, Categories).
    • Check the items you want to include.
    • Click Add to Menu.
  4. Arrange the menu structure using drag & drop.
  5. To create a submenu (dropdown), move an item slightly to the right under its parent menu.
  • Primary: main header menu.
  • Secondary: secondary menu below/above the primary.
  • Top Navigation: top bar navigation.
  • Footer Menu: footer navigation.
  • Scroll Mobile Menu: scrolling navigation on mobile.

Set in Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations, choose a menu for each location, then Save Changes.

Additional Menu Item Options

Note: Simple mega menu (column menu) is supported. How to configure:

  1. Enable CSS Classes first by clicking Screen Options at the top right. The settings panel will appear; see the image below:

  1. Check the CSS Classes option. Then edit the Parent Menu (main menu). See the video above.

Megamenu Settings

  1. In CSS Classes, enter:
  • col-2 for 2‑column submenus
  • col-3 for 3‑column submenus
  • col-4 for 4‑column submenus
  1. Done.

Note: The Majalahpro theme supports up to 5 menu locations; see the video tutorial above.

Notes

  • Keep the menu structure simple and easy to understand.
  • For mobile, use the dedicated mobile menu to maintain good navigation.
  • Use the footer menu for policy links, contact, or other important information.
